PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The Brief
Our clients, a busy family of five, were fortunate to have a large playroom, but it was time for a makeover. The kids were growing up, and their needs were changing. We were brought in to provide design services along with our organizing expertise.
Playroom Organization:
Sorted, purged, and categorized all items
Created a zone for arts & craft supplies
Created memento bins for each of the three kids
Incorporated new baskets and bins where they were needed
Interior Design:
Sourced & integrated adult-sized table and chairs
Removed cabinet doors and converted the space to a countertop work station
Sourced a rug and comfy seating
Added floating shelves to display kids’ artwork
Before
Product Picks
We always start a design project with a moodboard. Here were our picks for a rug, shelves, baskets and furniture.
Woven baskets are a great tool for keeping categories contained and pulling a playroom together visually.
Simple floating shelves are one of the best ways to add storage and display area in a playroom.
We used these glass jars to decant crafting supplies. We love buying them in a variety of sizes and lining them up on a counter or shelf.
After
The updated space feels clean, calm, and creative, perfect for an afternoon crafting or a video game-filled evening with friends.
