CUSTOM STORAGE DESIGN
KITCHEN & PANTRY ORGANIZATION
LAUNDRY ORGANIZATION

The Brief

Expecting parents Dana and Ian were running out of storage space in their kitchen and laundry room. They also needed our help finding a solution for their growing book collection. We helped design custom solutions and worked with one of our favorite cabinet makers to expand their storage and revamp their space.

Custom Storage Design:

  • Designed and built a custom pantry and lower kitchen cabinets with a slab countertop

  • Ensured that kitchen addition matched the current kitchen

  • Designed and built floor-to-ceiling laundry room shelving

  • Added book storage to bedroom to help clear the floor

Home Organization:

  • Sorted and decluttered kitchen, pantry, laundry and bedrooms

  • Created zones for categories

  • Added organizational product to keep the systems intact and tidy

  • Labeled and trained family in systems

Before

Drawing Board

Sometimes custom is the way to go: in this 1200 sq. foot home, adding to the kitchen cabinetry allowed the client to spread out and get organized. Plus, adding a wooden countertop gave them additional prep and storage space. In the laundry room, there were several square feet of wasted space to the side of the machines. Adding built-in shelves was the perfect solution to get items off the floor.

After

In the kitchen, we were able to add a pantry, coffee bar + all of the extra storage they needed for their growing family. Shelving in the laundry room helped the space function much more efficiently. And a large wall-mounted bookshelf became home to their library of books.

“Julianna and the team are LIFESAVERS. Really, they made my space feel actually livable. I've used them multiple times — I always know I'm in the best hands. Would trust them with my life and sanity!”

— Dana S. (August, 2025)
