NURSERY & BABY SETUP
INTERIOR DESIGN

The Brief

When Julianna (our founder) and her husband David were expecting their son, Finley, we turned a small second bedroom into a shared nursery and closet. With the addition of an Ikea PAX closet, we were able to section the room and give them much-needed storage for baby items. Then, we decked out the drawers and shelves with systems and labels to make bringing home a baby as easy and stress-free as possible.

Nursery & Baby Setup:

  • Nursery organization

  • Systems for outgrown clothes and clothes to grow into

  • Customized feeding cart setup

  • Diapering essentials organized into top drawer

  • Clear labeled drawers for easy use

Interior Design:

  • Space planning & layout optimization

  • Ikea modular wardrobe design

  • Wallpaper selection + install

  • Furniture selection + install

Before

Drawing Board

Our first moodboard for this space included a book-themed Spoonflower wallpaper, which became the foundation for the rest of the design.

These baskets are one of our favorites for nurseries, and really any closet in general. We love the natural look + a removable liner.

With so many great washable rugs on the market, why buy anything else for a kids’ space? Julianna and David had this Revival rug already, so we incorporated it into the design of the space.

A feeding cart is essential for a new mom. This one is on wheels so she could roll it from room to room as needed.

This recliner from Babyletto is worth its weight in gold. Super comfortable, stain-resistant, and silent when it’s reclining.

Because space was so limited, we decided to mount a few book ledges on the wall. These scalloped ones are cute and look custom.

After

The final nursery makes perfect use of the small footprint. Everything that Finley needs is in one space, and two years later, he still loves his room.
