The Brief
Returning client Michael, the founder of Everlasting Education, asked if we could organize his school’s storage unit and office, plus re-think the interior of their van. Because they are a mobile school, their van is a crucial part of the functionality for day-to-day operations and we were thrilled to tackle the project.
Van Build-Out and Organization:
Removed existing shelving & replaced with a more functional layout
Created clear zones throughout the van, maximizing the footprint
Added pegboards and custom door organizers to better utilize door space
Built a streamlined “library” with custom shelves and bungee cords
Created a designated space for printer & generator
Office & Storage Unit Organization:
Did a major purge & sort of materials
Added additional shelving to maximize storage space
Created zones and added containment
Labeled everything clearly so the entire staff can access and keep the space tidy

We enlisted the help of veteran production designer Gabriel Gonzalez to re-envision the van’s interior. He rebuilt the shelving offsite and then made tweaks and improvements onsite while we organized.
Along with rebuilding and organizing the school’s mobile supplies, we also organized the storage unit the faculty uses to store extra materials. We added additional shelves and organize everything by category to make gathering supplies easy.
Our client already owned (and loved) these bins, so we designed the shelving in the van to fit them perfectly and added more for them to grow into.
Lastly, we tackled the home office where Michael does his admin work. We added floating shelves and made a paperwork inbox and outbox for the desktop.
After
A few months in, this new and improved van layout has already improved their programming and quality of teaching. From the corner ball holder (eliminating dead space and solving the problem about where to store balls) to organized crates that make teaching easy and organized, this schoolhouse on wheels has everything Michael and his staff needs to make school-on-the-go a success.
